Dr. Vidhu Sharma is a pioneering Ayurveda practitioner, educator, and community leader based in Perth, Western Australia. As the Founder of Ayurveda for Wellness Health and Wellness Centre and Western Australia State Head for Ayurveda, she leads strategic initiatives to promote traditional Indian medicine across Australia. She also serves as National Secretary General for the International Business Council of Australia. Dr. Vidhu holds a Bachelor in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from Punjab University, India, complemented by Australian qualifications in Mental Health, Community Services, Dementia Care, Aged Care Support, and Training and Assessment. As an Australian Qualified Lecturer and Educator, she specializes in integrating Ayurvedic principles with contemporary mental health, dementia, Alzheimer’s care, and community services. Deeply committed to community wellbeing, Dr. Vidhu works extensively to promote health awareness and serves as a mentor and life coach for youth. Her philanthropic efforts and dedication to bridging traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with modern healthcare have earned her widespread recognition and respect within the Australian community. Her exceptional contributions have been honored with numerous prestigious awards, including Community Citizen of the Year (2020), Hall of Fame Inductee Western Australia (2023), Spirit of Australia Award (2021), and the Excellence Award for promoting Ayurveda in Australia presented by the Consulate General of India in Perth (2024). She was also a finalist for the Australia India Impact Award 2024 at the Australian Parliament for her outstanding efforts in strengthening Australia-India bilateral relations. Dr. Vidhu continues to champion the ancient heritage of Ayurveda while making significant impacts in mental health and community services across Australia.
