Dr Venkata Narayana Joshi MD PhD Ayurveda from Gujarat Ayurveda university Jamnagar (1985-88) Gujarat India was the first ever to emigrate on the credentials of Ayurveda professional degrees as a Highly Skilled Migrant (HSMP) during 2002 in United Kingdom. First source of his Ayurveda journey away from Bharat was during 1989 as a post doctoral trainee and internee under psycho-hormonal research unit at The John’s Hopkins medical school and university, Baltimore Maryland USA. He was under HB-1 status visas and was paid stipend during that training under cultural exchange programs been observed about herbal vending old ladies in local supermarket was a cultural shock and experience. Could publish few scientific papers during that period. One among important is ‘Dhat syndrome & Dream in transcultural Sexology’ in American journal of Psychiatry.
Ever after that interest in spreading of our noble wisdom and Ayurveda through the diversity of cultural backgrounds been extended to Sri Lanka as an Academic Consultant in University of Kelaniya. In and out of own nation Bharat has gained experience through Japan 1995, Singapore 1995, Valencia Spain 1997, and many other countries through participation in International conferences and events as opportunities arise. Later been settled as a HSMP in United Kingdom and now as the Director over few years and travelling extensively throughout European countries like France Italy Germany Croatia Austria Netherlands and Belgium many more as an academician educator adult learning programs food as medicine trainer etc till now to implement the integrative educational hybrid mode of BAMS course and curriculum under NCISM and AYUSH approval in London first ever outsourcing of quality standards for the global delivery of these traditional systems of health and wellness.
