Dr. Rammanohar Puthiyedath is Research Director of Amrita School of Ayurveda with 30 years of distinguished contributions to Ayurvedic research. He holds BAMS from Bharathiyar University (1991) and M.D. (Ayurveda) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (2001), with extensive publications in indexed journals and books.
His groundbreaking work includes serving as Principal Investigator for an NIH-funded study published in the Journal of Clinical Rheumatology and Annals of Rheumatic Diseases, which received the Excellence in Integrative Medicine Research Award from the European Society of Integrative Medicine (2012).
Dr. Puthiyedath has received numerous prestigious honors including Ayurveda Ratan Award from the UK Houses of Parliament (2022), Dhanvantari Award (2022), Dr. C. Dwarakanath Memorial Award from IASTAM (2017), and Bhishak Bhushan Puraskaram (2021). He has conducted research visits across 18 countries promoting Ayurveda globally, advancing contemporary interpretations of classical Ayurvedic principles and integrative medicine research.
