Dr. S. Aruna, MD (Siddha – SPM) Professor, Government Siddha Medical College, Palayamkottai Dr. S. Aruna is a distinguished Siddha physician and academician with three decades of expertise in Siddha Varmam and External Therapies. Since joining Government Siddha Medical College faculty in 2010, she has revolutionized patient care by integrating Varmam/External Therapies for orthopedic, neurological, dermatological, and gynecological conditions, significantly increasing patient census. A sought-after resource person, she has trained government Siddha physicians under NHM, conducted CME programs at National Institute of Siddha and other premier institutions, and presented at national/international conferences. She has authored influential books including “Clinical Varmam” and textbooks for Siddha students, and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Aruna served as Guinness World Records Jury member for the largest Siddha Varmam therapy program at NIS. Her mission focuses on advancing Siddha medicine as a practical, non-invasive, affordable healthcare system.
