Dr Leonardo Faedo

Dr. Leonardo Faedo is a Research Scientist, Agronomist, and Sociologist specializing in agroecology, environmental practices, and sustainable agriculture. He holds dual PhDs in Interdisciplinary Studies in Agroecology, Water and Resilience from Coventry University, United Kingdom, and in Plant Sciences from the University of Santa Catarina State (UDESC), Brazil. His academic credentials also include a Master’s degree in Plant Sciences (Plant Health and Ecology) from UDESC and an MBA in Agribusiness from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Curitiba, Brazil. He graduated from the Agroveterinary Science Centre (CAV) at UDESC in Lages, Brazil. Since 2013, Dr. Faedo has been actively engaged in agricultural projects across South America and Europe, focusing on research, extension services, training, education, and consulting. Currently, he serves as a Research Scientist at the Centre of Agroecology, Water and Resilience (CAWR), where he conducts multidisciplinary research in three key areas: Environmental Practices, Agroecology and Health; Agroecological Farming Innovation; and Biodiversity, Ecology and Society. His work bridges scientific research with practical applications, contributing to sustainable agricultural systems and environmental resilience.
