GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR AYUSH SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

  1. Films produced January 2024 onwards only will be entertained.
  2. Entries submitted in earlier/ other film festivals will not be accepted.
  3. Registration for 3RD IACE is mandatory (No separate entry fees for ASFF)
  4. The applicant (director) can submit maximum two entries in a suitable category. Separate entry forms are required for each entry.
  5. Films produced in languages other than English must be sub-titled in English.
  6. Captions and credits must be clear, legible and must be within the safe areas.
  7. The Organisers :
    • Will have non-exclusive rights to screen the film entries as and when required for non-commercial screening or travelling versions of the festival and to participate in other national and international festivals in non-competitive categories;
    • Will have the right to use up to 45 seconds of the film footage for promotional purpose;
    • Will not be responsible if the film could not be accessed for watching/ downloading,
    • Reserve the right to reject any entry if found ineligible;
    • Can change the category of the film without any explanation if the film is not found suitable for the category indicated by the applicant.
  8. DVD/pen-drive of films submitted for the ASFF, 3RD IACE will be retained by the organisers.
  9. The Director of the film will be awarded for overall impact of the film.
  10. It is essential to fill all the columns in the entry form, failing which the entry is liable to be rejected.
  11. The certificate of participation/ winning and the award money will be issued in the name of the director/ the producer/ copyright holder who has submitted/registered for the entry of the film.
  12. The organisers will not be responsible for violation of any copyright and intellectual property rights/ plagiarism. In case such violation is reported at any stage the film entrant will-
    • Have to return the cash prize, trophy and certificate.
    • Be barred in future from participating in the AYUSH Film Festivals of IACE.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE ?

  1. Complete the delegate registration process for 3rd IACE.
  2. Please read carefully the terms & conditions of the festival before filling the form.
  3. Please fill separate entry form for each film.
  4. Candidates have to upload the film on Google Drive with access set as “Anyone with the link” and submit the Google Drive link in the online application form at https://ayushdubai.org/iace-manager/login
    (Please ensure that the link does not seek permission to open it).
  5. After the successful submission of your online application form, confirmation email will be sent to the film director’s email id. If the director of the film does not receive the confirmation email it would imply that the form has not been submitted successfully. In this case, please inform us through Email.
  6. Before filling the form please keep ready soft copies of –
    • Photograph of the Director (jpeg format with resolution 300 dpi and saved as the director’s name)
    • 2 still photographs of the film (jpeg format with resolution 300 dpi and saved as the title of the film)
    • Duly filled Synopsis form in MS word (in prescribed format only)
    • Certificate from the Principal/Director/HOD/ Head of the academy/ institute/any other concerned authority if the film is under the specified copyright.
  7. Printout of the registration form and response page should be carried along by the participant.
  8. Pen drive containing:
    • Copy of the film in mp4 format. The film should be saved as the title of the film.
    • Synopsis of the film in 250-300 words in English should be saved as the title of the film.
    • Script of the film should be saved as the title of the film. Please do not send the hardcopy of the script.
    • 2 still photographs of the film. The photographs should be saved as the title of the film (in jpeg format with resolution 300 kb).
    • One photograph of the director. The photograph should be saved as the name of the director (jpeg format with resolution 300 kb).

SELECTION OF THE FILMS:

  1. A Nomination Jury panel will recommend the films for the festival and the Award Jury will select the films for awards. The decisions of the Jury panel will be final.
  2. The AYUSH Film Festival will be conducted (tentatively on 16th February, 2026, during the 3rd IACE, Dubai. However pre conference workshop or public screenings are not conducted for the event. For Public projection, separate YouTube channel may be created in later period.
  3. The Director/ the registered authority may be accompanied by any number of participants during the screening, for which registration of each is mandatory for 3rd IACE. Travelling/ accommodation allowances for the entrant/participant are not provided from 3rd IACE Dubai.
  4. If the award is shared by two or more entrants /individuals / organisations, the prize amount will be equally shared by the winners.
  5. Organisers reserve the right to modify the rules and conditions including number and amount of awards.

HOW TO REGISTER AND SUBMIT THE FILM?

  1. Create web account at : https://ayushdubai.org/iace-manager/register
  2. Web Account Registration should be made in the name of the director only.
  3. After email verification, please login to your dashboard at : https://ayushdubai.org/iace-manager/login
  4. Complete the process of delegate registration under suitable category.
  5. Please save the registration ID of 3rd IACE which is necessary to be mentioned in the entry form for film submission.
  6. To submit your short film, navigate to the ‘Short Film Submission’
  7. Enter the required details about the film and provide the Google Drive link to the complete film.
  8. Ensure that the Google Drive link to the trailer is set to ‘Anyone with the link’ under General Access, allowing unrestricted viewing of the video file.
  9. After Submission, the Short Film will be reviewed by the concerned IACE-ASFF committee followed by primary selection process by nomination jury. You will be able to view the result in the Short Film Submission module in your dashboard. Selected films after nomination will be intimated through email.
  10. Delegate registration is mandatory for the director of the film to participate in the AYUSH Short Film Festival. It can be done online or offline by selecting ‘Delegate Registration’ from the menu in your dashboard.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE :

  1. Entry and registration are through online ( https://ayushdubai.org/iace-manager/login )
  2. It is mandatory to register as a Delegate for the 3rd IACE to submit the AYUSH Short Film Application Form.
  3. One applicant (director only) may apply for max 2 entries
  4. Please mention the following in the subject column in all Email correspondences – Title of the film, abstract ID and subject for emailing.
  5. Films funded or sponsored or non-sponsored are allowed for ASFF. However, violation of copyrights and plagiarisms are not entertained.
  6. Duration for films of any category should be not less than 5 minutes and not exceeding 30 minutes.
  7. AYUSH practitioners, teachers, students, PG scholars, PhD scholars, research experts, General Public, directors other than AYUSH fraternity, citizens of any nationality can participate in the event. The competition is open to all who register for 3rd IACE.
  8. Last date to submit final copy of the entire film – 30th November 2025.
  9. After the initial screening, the selected films are notified by email for final screening during 3rd IACE Dubai.

AWARDS:

  1. Awards will be given for overall impact in any category.
  2. The final judgement for the awards will be made by the Award Jury.
  3. The organisers hold all rights to withdraw, modify and cancel the awards in case of any discrepancy and violation of the norms mentioned.
